For us on the farm, Christmas officially begins the moment we bring tulips inside. Join us in our traditions this Christmas, and bring your home to life with the simple beauty of British-grown flowers.

Here is how to prepare your stems for the perfect festive display:

  • Conditioning: Trim 2cm off the base of each stem at an angle using sharp scissors to maximise water intake.
  • The First Drink: Keep the tulips in their wraps and stand them upright in clean, cold water for a few hours before arranging.
  • Vases: Fill thoroughly cleaned vases with fresh, cold water. Regularly top up and replace water if needed.
  • Styling: Create one grand display or spread the festive colour. Try 100 stems for the dining table, 40 for the hallway, 40 for the living room, and use the remaining 20 in small jars for guest bedrooms. The possibilities are endless.
  • Room to Grow: Tulips naturally stretch and bend towards the light once in water. Keep them away from direct heat and fruit bowls to help maximise their vase life.
